The Farm

The farm is a dynamic little enclave of natural activity, and most importantly of all was the potential of the soil, climate and rainfall to grow the unlikely crop they had set their hearts on – tea.  The location had all the components they had been in search of for 6 years, and a place where the existence of a Scottish tea plantation was possible and had potential to actively benefit nature’s agenda.  After spending several weeks going to tea plantations in Sri Lanka and India, discovering the epic journey the tea leaf takes to get to the finished product the more fascinated they became and the more they wanted to know.  They just hoped that tea could be grown in a region so unfamiliar to the camellia plant.
